Let&#8217;s see what remains of this colorful motto.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>From the wide spectrum of presentations, here&#8217;s a brief selection<\/h2>\n<p>In the digital age, attention is the most important resource. In the past, you shouldn&#8217;t be conspicuous, but today, you must be conspicuous. However, if it&#8217;s only about generating the most clicks on the internet, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/wilddueck?lang=de\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Gunter Dueck<\/a> aptly calls it &#8220;content-free communication. The channel is open, but there&#8217;s no content.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>To escape the amplifiers of filter bubbles, engage with negative trends, and improve online discourse, we need more&#8230; namely, digital and analog courage. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/spreeblick?lang=de\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Johnny Haeusler<\/a>\u00a0(co-founder and organizer of re:publica) said,\u00a0<strong>&#8220;It&#8217;s wrong to just react.<\/strong> We need to counteract \u2013 create a positive atmosphere.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/jankalbitzer\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jan Kablitzer<\/a>s excellent presentation and his therapeutic perspective on social media made it clear that we need to move more. Because\u00a0<strong>our own view of the world is always incomplete.<\/strong> You can watch his vivid talk on love, anger, hate, and misunderstood intimacy on the internet here:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"re:publica 2017 \u2013 Jan Kalbitzer: Erneuern wir die Fundamente der Liebe!\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/RPCBPVVxkew?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/mmeckel?lang=de\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Miriam Meckel<\/a> painted a picture of the future that has already begun. In three phases, she explained &#8216;what&#8217;s going on,&#8217; &#8216;what&#8217;s coming,&#8217; and &#8216;what follows.&#8217; What will surely follow is the physical connection of technology and the human brain. Imagine being able to send a text message with the power of your thoughts to a phone \u2013 so &#8216;think in&#8217; and &#8216;think back.&#8217; Or, a sent message is instantly translated into other languages. This is what the communication of the future could look like.<\/p>\n<p>In the medical field, such developments are full of promise. However, this also means that\u00a0<strong>step by step,<\/strong>\u00a0we will be able to\u00a0<strong>convert our thoughts into data.<\/strong> When disabled people can move devices with their thoughts and gain autonomy and quality of life, it&#8217;s a wonderful thought. But, of course, this development will also find its way into the commercial world.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"re:publica 2017 \u2013 Miriam Meckel:  Mein Kopf geh\u00f6rt nicht mehr mir - Brainhacking &amp; Selbstoptimierung\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/EtrMHfvDdRc?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8216;&#8230; sometimes we only think for ourselves instead of thinking after.&#8217;<\/strong> In the wonderfully philosophical lecture &#8216;Update: The Art of Love&#8217; (<a href=\"http:\/\/wirres.net\/article\/articleview\/10643\/1\/6\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">read it here<\/a>),\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/diplix?lang=de\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Felix Schwenzel<\/a>\u00a0 reflected on Erich Fromm and his continued relevance today.
