Forget All Resolutions, Except …

IIt’s that time again: the ‘best’ guides, tips, and tricks for a better and more successful life are in full swing. More productivity like this, really successful people do that, truly happy people think this way… ‘New Year, New Luck!’ echoes from every rooftop. Right now, it’s the best time to think about it. Or is it? Not really

What’s different today than yesterday? There’s a Mexican saying that goes, ‘A good resolution is a horse that is often saddled but seldom ridden.’ Reading 50 books a year like Bill Gates? Getting up at 3:45 AM like Tim Cook? Living by the 5-hour rule like Oprah Winfrey? What remains at the end of the day when the good resolution has once again dissipated? Save yourself the frustration because we humans are all different – there’s only one thing that’s the same: we all have only 24 hours a day. Use them in your own way:

… be yourself!

Spare yourself the pressure of New Year’s resolutions and practice serenity instead. Exchange ideas with others, let yourself be inspired by people and their stories, but most importantly, do your own thing. Find out what brings you genuine joy and truly suits you. You don’t need a New Year’s transition for that because the best time is always NOW.
